RAPTOR is a flowchart-based programming environment, designed specifically to help students visualize their algorithms and avoid syntactic baggage. RAPTOR programs are created visually and executed visually by tracing the execution through the flowchart. Required syntax is kept to a minimum. Students prefer using flowcharts to express their algorithms, and are more successful creating algorithms using RAPTOR than using a traditional language or writing flowcharts without RAPTOR.

Most professional setups require stacking multiple individual plugins—which can be a massive drain on your CPU. Speachy simplifies this by offering:

[ Microphone Input ] │ ▼ [ Audio Interface / Windows Driver ] │ ▼ [ OBS Mic/Aux Filters ] ──► Adopts Neverdie Audio Speachy V10 │ ▼ [ Real-Time Stream / Recording ]

The software is primarily used as a VST filter within recording or streaming applications: OBS Studio

Setting up Speachy is straightforward, especially for those using OBS Project :

: Highly popular as a filter for OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) to improve microphone quality during live broadcasts.

Download the plugin package ensuring you acquire both the VST and VST3 formats. Extract the .dll or .vst3 files.

Name the filter, then select from the drop-down menu selection.

Traditional processing paths involve stacking up to five separate plugins. This requires the CPU to repeatedly buffer audio data back and forth, resulting in noticeable lip-sync delay on video streams. Speachy processes all audio algorithms simultaneously in a single buffer block, reducing CPU latency to almost zero. Simplified Control Sets

Products or software solutions like the hypothetical "Neverdie Audio Speachy V10" could offer a range of features aimed at improving audio quality or providing a unique listening or speaking experience. Some potential features might include:

Keeps your voice consistent, ensuring you don't "clip" or distort when things get exciting.

"Exclusive" does not mean it won't work on a Mac or Linux. It will. But features like the custom control panel and latency tuner are Windows-only. For Android users, the volume output is capped at 70%.

About Windows RAPTOR Modes

Did you know RAPTOR has modes? By default, you start in Novice mode. Novice mode has a single global namespace for variables. Intermediate mode allows you to create procedures that have their own scope (introducing the notion of parameter passing and supports recursion). Object-Oriented mode is new (in the Summer 2009 version)

RAPTOR is Free!

RAPTOR is freely distributed as a service to the CS education community. RAPTOR was originally developed by and for the US Air Force Academy, but its use has spread and RAPTOR is now used for CS education in over 30 countries on at least 4 continents. Martin Carlisle is the primary maintainer, and is a professor at Texas A&M University.
